Start with the sleek carbon fiber frame, hand-stitched interior, and seven liter twin turbo V8 engine that cranks 1,000 horsepower and can reach 60 miles per hour in just 2.7 seconds. It is like pushing a rocket, literally. This Mazzanti brings the luxury sports car to the proverbial next level, with a top speed of 250 miles per hour and a low slung design that makes drivers feel they are part of the track. Yeah, and did we mention the manufacture of just 25 of those cars?

3. Ferrari LaFerrari Apterra — $1.4 million

Speaking of Ferrari, the Italian automaker celebrating this year’s 70th anniversary is once again pulling all the stops on their upcoming LaFerrari Apterra convertible, priced at $1.4 million. Not only does this open top sports car have sex appeal to burn, it’s also a speed machine capable of hitting 60 miles an hour in less than three seconds, complete with a gas-electric hybrid motor under the roof.

That’s right, this Ferrari is powered by a 6.3 liter V12 gasoline engine which also comes with an electric motor of 120 kilowatts. Who would have thought a hybrid motor could power a sleek and sexy Ferrari? It is of course not your usual hybrid gas-electric vehicle. It can deliver 950 horsepower and torque to spare. It’s no wonder, with so much elegance and creativity, that all 200 models made of this car have already sold out.

2. Arash AF10 Hybrid — $1.5 million

Believe it or not, Ferrari is not the only automaker that churns out hybrid vehicles. You could get your hands on the Arash AF10 Hybrid for $1.5 million, a supercar with a lightweight carbon fiber body and an all-innovative gas-electric hybrid engine. The Arash AF10 is capable of producing 550 horsepower using a 6.2-liter V8 engine, according to the company’s press kits. Instead of just one electric motor under the hood, this car does have four.

This car enters what the engineers call “warp drive” mode when they all work together, can churn out a whopping 2.080 horsepower and reach 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. With that kind of power and speed, it’s no wonder this car comes with a built-in fire extinguisher. Our only question is how we can turn this engine into a Toyota Prius?

1. Bugatti Chiron — $2.7 million

Making a big price jump here (nearly $ 1 million) is the luxurious Bugatti Chiron, a vehicle that’s been receiving plenty of hype and attention around the world at auto shows. Bugatti’s put in the Chiron what it calls a “W16” engine. What are you asking? Okay, it’s like putting two side-by – side V8 engines, and then connecting them to the crank shaft. To say that the Chiron is a mighty car is an understatement. This Bugatti can produce 1,500 horsepower and reach 60 miles an hour in a 2.5-second blur.

If a speed record is not set, this car also earns praise for its extremely comfortable interior with a mineral spring water dispenser and foot massager. Who says you can’t mix efficiency and style in one vehicle?
